Glendora is situated at the base of the beautiful San Gabriel Mountains, in the eastern portion of Los Angeles County. Just about 25 miles from downtown Los Angeles, Glendora offers convenient access to all the major commercial, cultural, educational and recreational areas the Southern California has to offer.
Founded in 1887, Glendora was incorporated as an official city in 1911. The new city was a small citrus-producing community until the late 1950s, when agriculture gave way to large scale residential development.
Over 50,000 residents now enjoy Glendora's excellent public and private schools, its lush parks, comprehensive community services and one of the lowest crime rates in the nation.
